This is a view from the rear corner. The Gray Slate siding blends well with the roofing color. Additional band trim was added at the bottom of the 2nd floor bumpout. Hardie siding requires a 2" clearance from roofing surfaces. Using color matched flashing is a great way to blend the two surfaces together. Many siding contractors don't follow this detail which can void the Hardie 30 year warranty.

Most customers purchase new light fixtures to be installed when the siding is replaced. Many siding companies use vinyl siding light blocks. This can void your Hardie warranty. Consult your siding contractor to see if they use the correct light block detail.
