This home in Columbia, MD had cedar siding on the exterior. The homeowner was ready for a new look!
This house was built in 1995. The windows and roof had already been replaced. The original wood siding was starting to warp. The owner knew it was time to either paint or replace the siding. After pricing both options, they decided replacing the siding and trim was the best option. The owner researched many different exterior products. Hardie siding was the best option to restore the orignal wood look. Hardie house wrap was installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardieplank cedarmill siding was installed. The color of this home is Aged Pewter. Hardie products are an excellent way to recreate the look of wood without the maintenance. The railings on the front porch were removed to enlarge the space. The porch columns were replaced with Hardie trim. A Provia Signet Series front entry door was installed w/ sidelites. This customer now has a beautiful, low maintenance exterior.
