OVERVIEW
This home in Bethesda, MD originally had vinyl siding. The customer was ready for an upgrade and a color change!
This was a Cape Cod style home before a 2nd story addition was built onto the house. The existing vinyl siding on the 2nd of the home was warping. All the upper level windows were installed, with a custom arched window in the center. Hardie House Wrap was installed prior to the siding installation. The siding was replaced with James Hardie Lap Siding in Boothbay Blue. Two new Anderson 400 Series French doors were installed to replace the old doors that were rotting. The roof was also replaced with a GAF Timberline Series shingle roof. Four new skylights were installed and all of the flashing was replaced. The vertical wood siding below the front porch was painted to match the new siding color. This home was renewed using energy efficient materials to keep energy costs and maintenance low. The existing front porch compliments the new exterior transformation. The flooring on the porch is Azek 5/4x6. This product is a cellular PVC with very little maintenance.

The two different styles of siding on this home create a very unique appearance. The 1st floor siding is wood T111 that was painted to match the Boothbay Blue siding. Sherwin Williams can provide matching paint to all Hardie siding colors.
