Flexible Payment Options
These windows were enlarged prior to the installation of the Hardie siding. Replacing windows during the siding install process ensure the best possible seal around the window frames. The black frames contrast well with the Arctic White Hardie siding color. Installing Hardie trim in conjunction with their siding eliminates warranty issues with other products.
This photo shows a closer view of the Hardie Board & Batten siding installed. The Hardie siding panels need to be fastened to the studs in order to properly secure them. Installing batten strips at the stud locations will conceal the siding nails and give your project the best finished appearance. Not all siding contractors are capable of correctly installing this much detail. Be sure to hire Hardie siding contactors directly from their website.
This house was built in 1900. The existing Hardie siding was installed poorly causing the owner to replace it. They took this opportunity to change the design of the house. The original wood windows were single pane and were experiencing air infiltration issues. The owner knew it was time to replace the siding and windows. They researched many different exterior products. Hardie siding was the best option to add curb appeal and create the appearance of real wood. Hardie house wrap was installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardie Board & Batten smooth siding was installed. The color of this home is Arctic White. Hardie products are an excellent way to recreate the look of wood without the maintenance. Pella Lifestyle replacement windows were installed in the entire house. This made a vast improvement to the energy efficiency. The customer took this opportunity to change the configuration of several windows as well as add larger doors in new locations. A Provia Signet Series entry system was installed to replaced the existing front door. The dettached garage was updated to match the house. Here is a closer look at how the Hardie siding connects to the roof. There is a 2" clearance between the siding and the roofing. Arctic White trim coil was used as an additional layer of flashing. This is more aesthetically pleasing than exposing the black step flashing. These small details can have a huge impact on the final product. Failing to install Hardie siding with proper clearances can void their warranty.
Here is a closer look at a window that was added where the original barn doors were located. The Pella Enduraclad exterior on the window will not rot or require maintenance. This view shows the rear of the Potomac, MD home. The Hardie siding is complimented by the black windows, doors, and gutters. The standing seam metal roof was replaced on the bow window. All windows and doors were replaced with Pella Lifestyle products. New light fixtures were installed to complete the look.

The existing rear French doors were replaced and enlarged before the Hardie siding was installed. This 4 panel Pella Lifestyle sliding door was added to the rear of the house. Here is a closer look at a the garage doors. These doors were painted to match the new windows. This completes the theme created. The new fixture is a nice compliment to the door color. There is a 4" Hardie trim picture framing the perimeter of the door. This detail blends the door frame into the Hardie siding. This is a closer view of the rear main house. Before the siding was replaced, the rear door was enlarged to be to provide a better view to the back yard. Several windows were enlarged as well. The black window color creates an appealing contrast to the Arctic White Hardie Siding. The trim was replaced with Hardie trim in Arctic White. A 4" picture frame was installed around the windows & doors.

This image shows the work done to the dettached garage. The design of the garage compliments the main house style. All windows were replaced with Pella Lifestyle window products with the black exterior color. The Hardie siding combination of board & batten with a mixture of lap siding was used to match the house as well.
